Setting Lake Landfill Operation and Maintenance

• The entrance gate is locked when the landfill is closed.

• An attendant is present when the landfill is open.

• Grass and brush is cut regularly to deter rodents and wildlife as well as to meet government standards.

• Roads are maintained on a regular basis.

• Supervised landfill burns are done as required.

• The lagoon is tested and discharged as needed. This is done in conjunction with and with the approval of MB Environment’s Water Stewardship Branch.

• Setting Lake Cottage Owners Association holds an annual landfill clean-up day.
